The Home Renovation Savings™ (HRS) Program, launched through a partnership between Enbridge Gas and Save on Energy, with support from the Ontario Government, is designed to help Ontarians improve their home’s energy efficiency and year-round comfort. The program offers flexible upgrade options to suit different renovation needs. The HRS Program makes it easier and more affordable to create a more efficient, comfortable living space.

Homeowners can receive up to $5,000 in rebates for Enbridge Gas-heated homes or up to $10,000 for electrically heated homes, including a $600 reimbursement for the energy audit fee.

Eligibility requirements

  • To qualify for the Home Renovation Savings program, you must own your home.

  • Eligible housing types include single detached or semi-detached homes, row/townhomes and mobile homes on a permanent foundation.

  • Be an Enbridge Gas customer with an active account and primarily heat your home with a natural gas furnace or boiler OR be connected to the Ontario electricity grid and heat your home with electricity, propane, oil or wood.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to pay for the home energy assessment?
Homeowners are responsible for the upfront cost of the initial and follow-up home energy assessments. To offset the cost of the assessments, you will receive a $600 rebate after installing at least two upgrades recommended through the initial assessment from the Home Renovation Savings program.
