What types of home upgrades are eligible?
The program covers a wide range of energy-efficient home improvements, including:

Who can apply for the program?
Any residential property owner in the City of Guelph can apply. The home must have a property tax account with the City, be more than five years old, and have no back taxes or liens. Tenants or properties outside of Guelph are not eligible.
How long will this program be available?
Funding is limited and provided on a first-come, first-served basis. The prog.ram will run until all allocated funds have been distributed, so early application is strongly encouraged
Do I need a professional energy assessment?
Yes. A pre-retrofit home energy assessment and a post-retrofit assessment are required to measure your home’s energy efficiency before and after improvements. These costs can be included in your total project amount and repaid through the loan. Some assessments may also qualify for rebates through Enbridge’s Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program.
Can I apply if I already started my upgrades?
No. You must apply and be approved before beginning any work.
Only projects started after signing the official Property Owner Agreement are eligible for funding.
